*Casually spams this place*
After reading some RP logs for another unrelated RP group, and also looking at RPing guides, I thought a RP like this would be interesting.
There is no initial plot or setting at all. However with each post someone makes they have to contribute something major to the plot(Ranging from noting a certain important item in the place they're in, deciding the place they're in, talking about an important event that is happening/has happened, or announcing an important decision, making a timeskip that is reasonable, making something unrelated to the characters happen(Something happening currently), or even mentioning and developing a "Shared NPC", etc.)
Really, when RPing anything people should try to include something in their post that keeps the plot going(As opposed to the character being slowly on a journey somewhere or watching something), so if we were to have a RP thread with rules like this, this could help us all get used to this sort of thing. It could also help us develop interesting plots by each member building upon things happening at all times, with new things happening constantly.
Of course, I think we might have to be careful about what we allow and don't allow, the idea of a RP like this is based around being spontaneous to build up an interesting plot, but we can't having things that are too crazy happening(If someone states they are in an entirely empty room, then another person then goes and states there is a certain big object in there that couldn't be missed). And all members will need to make sure they read everyone else's posts so that they don't miss any important information. We would also need to think about if we will allow fantasy elements in it or not and maybe a general theme for it people to aim for..

Re: *Casually spams this place*
Sounds interesting. It's kinda like what we used to do on FH I guess, but bigger.
Re: *Casually spams this place*
Yeah, Although even on FH we used to rely on one person really to initiate events happening in the RP, which was mainly Flaming, although she usually made really unusual, unnatural, and over the top things happen.
Having a thread where we all have to do that sort of thing in a more 'extreme' way, everyone adding important things, we could really help everyone in the group get into a more active role in RPs, and it would help them think of more possibilities when RPing elsewhere.
It could certainly help encourage people to post more, since it would be an active RP with something always happening too.

Ohyes.IhonestlytriedtoavoidFlaming'sRPs.Myheadkeptgettingchoppedoff.
Yeah, leaving opportunity for everyone to manipulate the plot sounds fair, and fun.
The only issue is with people who are a bit uncomfortable with manipulate it, as to not upset everyone about the change or addition made, kind of like myself. But I suppose if everyone is messing around with the plot, everyone should be able to agree with changes or additions made, just as long as it fits in with what happened earlier in the RP?

Yeah~
I think doing something like this might help get people more comfortable with manipulating the plot in RPs. People shouldn't feel too ''bad' or nervous about it in a RP like this because everyone will be making their own contributions to it so everyone will be in the same position.
We would have to make a few rules though.
Like no killing any characters that already have official RPers in the group unless the person who RPs that character allows them?
And if we do decide on a non-fantasy/AU one, then of course no fantasy or the like, no making objects appear out of nowhere.
