More forum suggestions!

Just a few ideas I've been building up for a while and I figured It's about time I asked for your opinions on them and if we should implement them. And if you have any alternative ideas!

• Introduce yourself section - This kinds of thing is common on almost all forums, so I figured It'd be only fair to see if you guys want this? So in it each member can make a post about themselves to tell everyone else about themself, thier likes, dislikes, favrourite characters and OTP, etcetcetc.
  
• Official character Bios - Okay so we have the OC Bios, and we have the Hetalia Headcannons. But I was thinking it might be easier to organise information and help us develop our headcannons for official characters by helping us find areas that we aren't sure of the information for. So, I was thinking either we made a separate section on the forum for people to add bios for the official characters they RP, or just simply make a base of some sort for people to make Official character Bios in the Headcannons section. Or if you guys don't think it's necessary then that too!
  
• Member art section? So eah member could make posts to show off their Hetalia/group-related arts. Currently we only post it on dA but I think it's only fair that we have as much of the group accessible on the forum too.

Those are good idea, but the introduction-thing. There are a few members who don't go onto the forums, so they would not have one up. AlsoI'djustfeelawkwardwritingaboutmyselfandprobablywouldn'tknowwhattosay. Someotherpeoplemightbelikethattoo. OratleastIam.


I also think most of us, if not all of us, have a DA and we usually post our art there and then link it to the DA group. Putting an art section here is fine too though.

So, for bios for official characters, would you guys want them to stay in the Headcannons bit, or to have their own section like the OC bios?

And, what would you guys think if I added some section for members to introduce themselves then? I get that some people might not write them or something, but overall do you think I should or shouldn't.

Something I thought of whilst falling asleep last night. ThankgodIrememberedit.
I was thinking it might be better if we merged our Shipping Challenge sub-forums? (You now all the seperate ones for each challenge?)
Since I have no idea how long out group will last, but hopefully a long time, so we may well end up with a /lot/ of them. Plus with how some don't have many boards in them, it may simply be easier on the whole.
I also have the idea for if we do that, then we can have a single sticky board which we post the results for each drawing in, and the date of the next one when we decide it.

How about have a board for 'Character Bios', and then sub boards for 'OC Bios' and 'Canon Bios'?

And for the merging Shipping Challenge things- the results thread. Would it be one thread with each set of results as a new post?

Okay! Yet another thing I want to ask you guys.

We have several of the topics on the forum invisible to those who aren't logged in, but I wanted to check you guys think the ones we have hidden are a good choice.

So currently the topics invisible to guests are:
Group Downloads,
All RP boards except for the shipping challenge,
And this off-topic chatter topic.
Do you guys think this is good? Or are there any others that you think should also be hidden to those who aren't signed in, or if any of those that are invisible should be made visible.

Just remembered another thought I had today!

What do you guys think about if I were to make a new RP idea poll every month/every 2 months so I can remove the RPs we have started/done, add new ones people have thought of, and of course get members to again think about what they feel like RPing at the time, since everyone's RPing moods change.

Maybe we should occasionally clean up the role play boards and delete the role plays that have been inactive for a while and ask people for those that have been active, but not for that long, if they want to continue the role play or if it should just be deleted before it starts collecting dust.

Yes yes we could. You can actually set something in the forum's settings to automatically move topics with no new posts for any amount of time to be moved to a board which is invisible to everyone but admins. Although i'm not sure if you can specify certain sections of the forum for it to apply to.

Hey so me and others derped with this idea after a derpy conversation but-
Not sure if it could go in the forum games section or the Hetalia Chatter section. But just a thread where we will essentially list ships (Most popular ones in the group for simplicity's sake?) and then have the people who ship them next to them? :D Could be both interesting to see which ships are more popular, and also might make for more conversation starters between people in the group who might've otherwise not spoken as much?
Also could reduce the awkwardness if two people both RP characters from a ship and want to RP it, but are awkward about asking about it in case the other doesn't ship it and yeah----

The ship-thing sounds interesting. Being it is not really a game and just people saying which ships they like, I think it should go in the Hetalia chatter.
