We could ignore it? It might be a bit difficult since it is a modern setting and there are more of those things around that could have people question stuff- But then again do the vampires really hang around people much anyway or-?

I honestly don't see the "Vampires can't be seen in videos/mirrors/whatever" thing really happening. So maybe not that. But if you changed it up a bit, like maybe they can make themselves move quick enough (like on video) so they can't be caught on camera visibly, unless the person has a very, very high definition camera.

Would it be mean to say that I want someone to capture a vampire but not kill them. But just. Like leave them tied up somewhere long enough that because of not feeding they go bloodthirstycrazy and then they either escape or are released and dundundun.

Oooh that would be interesting--- maybe done by a werewolf to draw more attention to the vampires by the hunters? Or even maybe done by a hunter who meant to slowly kill them by starvation but it goes wrong oh no.

The hunters are human and would be the closest prey for the vampire. If they captured a vampire and try to starve it, but then the vampire becomes bloodthirsty, I would assume either the hunters or the vampire will be killed once the vampire escapes.
