Maddie looked around them, checking to see if there was anyone around. "Just come on," she urged. Maddie grabbed his wrist and dragged him along with her back down to his quarters. She kicked the door open and entered inside, plopping down on at her father's desk. "Close the door before someone hears."

Francis had allowed her to lead him away, dragging him downstairs into privacy. When they had reached the inside of his quarters, he looked over at her strangely. "...Where you in here? Why?" Despite his confusion, (and dislike that she had intruded) he obeyed and closed the door.

"Don't get your briefs in a bunch, papa," She snickered. Maddie leaned back in her father's comfy chair, kicking her feet up onto the desk. "I didn't fiddle with anything; I'm just as a good child as Matthew." Maddie pulled out the fragment of the mystery map from the inside of her jacket. "I wanted to show you this parchment I snatched from some navy pig back at that last port." She began to unfold it carefully then she handed it to her father. "It's part of a map." Her eyes shifted its gaze to the chest on the large desk. He better show me what's in there for this.

Matthew nodded and watched the two walk away before turning to the crew on the deck, though having a bit difficulty getting their attention, he was eventually able to start giving them orders so they could start their next journey.

Santiago quite contently span around to lean on a nearby box and check his maps, he already had made a plan for the route but just wanted to remind himself and make sure he didn't forget anything. Once he was sure of the plan, he wandered the ship to ensure the rest of the crew knew the planned route and destination.

Francis's eyes widened. "A map...?" He gazed over at the paper Maddie held between her fingers, looking interested as ever. He followed her gaze over to the chest, then fixed his eyes back on her. "To what?"

"Not sure," Maddie answered. She set the map aside on the the desk and made a puzzle expression. "I was hoping you would know." She bit her lip and hesitated for a moment. Why wasn't this going as she planned? Maybe her father really is a lame wannabe pirate, but still... "Is there something you're hiding from us?" She asked, eyes still lingering on the chest. "What happened to no secrets? I thought no matter what you, me, and Matthew would always be truthful to one another."

Francis frowned. "Maybe," he replied with a sigh, "But you can't expect everything from a captain." He stared over at the box that Maddie had laid her eyes on. "Why, is there something you're afraid I'm hiding from you? Like what?"

Maddie gave her father a defensive glare. She's was not afraid of anything; at least anything from him of course. "No, of course not. I'm just curious is all," she said. "Why can't you just tell me? You know I would never betray you or anything."

Maddie sat there hesitantly. Why couldn't she know about what he was hiding now? They weren't doing anything drastic or widely important. So why is that old man so.... Lame? "No," she spoke up. Maddie crossed her arms against her chest and pouted like some upset child. "Non. You don't show me your secrets, I won't share mine."

"I don't have to tell you shit!" Maddie screamed, slamming her hands down on the desk. She glared furiously with a raging anger illuminating her face. She shoved the map back into her vest jacket. "If you want to know about it so bad, you'll have to take it over my dead body, old man!" She wasn't afraid to fight her way out, even against her own flesh and blood lame dad.

Matthew walked to the captain's cabin after giving the orders to set sail. The navigator lifted his hand to knock on the door to let Francis know that they would be sailing soon, but he heard a scream on the other side of the door. The boy's eyes widen and he heard Madeline's voice shouting from inside of the cabin. He quickly opened the door and burst into the room. "What's going on?"

(If it was not noticed, I made Pangea a witch doctor.)

Matthew stared at the two, wondering what they had been arguing about. Madeline approached him and demanded him to move. He wanted to talk to the girl and see if she would possibly tell more about what had happened, but he knew she would not speak while Francis was still there. He also thought it was best to let her calm down first, for she was obviously steaming mad. "Yes, I did." Matthew answered the captain as he stepped out of the way to let the girl past. "We should be leaving in a few minutes."

Maddie nodded a thank you to Matthew and left the room silently. She would rant all about it to him later, but right now she didn't want to be anywhere near their lame captain of a father. She strutted her way down the hall to her own quarters and made sure to lock door. Maddie approached her bed and laid down upon it, staring mindlessly at the wooden ceiling. "Why is he hiding?!" She shouted aloud to herself. "Stupid idiot. How dare he expect me to share my secrets and not share his own."

(So Blue and I did the whole arguing scene between Maddie and Matt on Skype so I'll just skip that part)

Maddie pulled a crimson red cloak around her neck. She pulled the hood up to hide her identity slightly. She didn't want to be caught for what she was about to do. Only one person knew what she was planning and that was Matthew. Maddie just hoped her brother wouldn't tell anyone else. Maddie made sure she had what she needed on her person; compass, lock pick, some extra coin, swords, hidden knife, and of course her map piece.

She wouldn't be returning for quite awhile, it would be unsafe. Maddie took a deep breath and left her room, head upwards towards the helm. She could see the port just a few feet away from their ship; she could swim to it maybe. The young pirate girl climbed on top of the edge railing of the boat and stood silently. She reached into her shirt and took one last look at her pendant. It was one-third of an entire pendant; he brother and father had the other pieces which could fit together to form a cute heart.

She quickly shoved it aside and stared confidently ahead, though she could help but look back one more time. "Nothing can stop me now..." She whispered to herself. "......This is it Maddie. Time to make your choice." She was hoping that Matthew would come out of no where and stop her.... But she doubted that ever happening. She had made him so furious after that heated argument.

[5:40:06 PM] Madeline: Matt, if I wanted to be a safe pirate, I would have signed up to be one of those damn navy dogs. How the hell do we call ourselves Pirates without getting to mischief and getting hurt?! THATS WHAT PIRATES DO!!
[5:41:57 PM] Matthew: Pirates also have to try to survive. If we just jump into every single bit of danger that comes our way, those "navy dogs" or any other enemies we have will defeat us.
[5:42:44 PM] Madeline: Well what do you expect us to do? Be silent and just sneak around? That's boring...
[5:45:36 PM] Matthew: But I think you are asking for too much, Maddie.. He's our father. Do you really expect him to just let us put ourselves in danger?
[5:47:31 PM] Madeline: Well.... No. But he should at least be manly or something! I rather have a bad ass dad that everyone feared yet looked up to than some lame sissy dad... Papa will never be pirate king
[5:48:58 PM] Matthew: And what if papa did become more daring? What if he became more daring and then he got hurt? Or worse, what if he was to act like a "pirate king" or whatever and he gets himself killed?
[5:50:03 PM] Madeline: If he was pirate king, no one would want to mess with him! He'd be strong and powerful, and courageous! There's no way he could get killed!

[5:51:36 PM] Matthew: Do you think pirates become kings peacefully? He would just be more of a target for everyone else. If anything, people would just him dead even more.
[5:53:46 PM] Madeline: Hmph. Well he needs to man up. If he's not going to pirate king then sure as hell I'll be the pirate queen!
[5:54:54 PM] Matthew: -sighs- Of course you will.
[5:57:00 PM] Madeline: You bet! No one will stand in my way! I'll be the pirate Queen and be better than any old legend Jolly Rogger or Davy Jones ever left! Haha!

Maddie bit her lip and looked upon the ocean hesitantly. Even if she did leave, where would she go? Where would she stay? Would she be able to care for herself? No-- she was not going to turn back now. This is her dream, to become the pirate queen and be the greatest kick ass pirate ever. "No going back now," she told herself. She walked over and slashed the ropes holding one of the wooden longboats on the side of the ship with her sword. Maddie sighed then leaned over the edge and allowed herself to fall off the ship and into the ocean. She quickly resurfaced, disliking the bitter cold sea water. Maddie swam over to the small long boat, climbing aboard eagerly. "So far, so good... Now to get to land." She began to paddle frantically to port, not looking back at the giant ship that'll be haunting her from now on.

Matthew was walking below deck, thinking about the argument he had with Madeline. He felt guilty about telling her that she should just leave. He had gotten frustrated. He should not have told her to leave, but the girl had just been some determined to get her way. There was no reasoning with her, but Matthew thought that maybe if he tried talking to her again and apologized, they could work something out that would make both of them, and their father, happy. That was the reason why the navigator was searching for the young girl below deck.
